I have one bank account connected. It is only showing transactions for Jan-March of 2019. Current balance is correct. I have refreshed but no other transactions are popping up and I need to catagorize my expenses for the rest of 2019.

Welcome to the QuickBooks family, @emanliam542.

Allow me to provide some information about connecting a bank in QuickBooks Self-Employed. When you link your account, the system only downloads the last 90 days of transactions.

To import the rest of the data from 2019, you'll need to download the transactions in CSV format from your financial institution's website.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your bank’s website and download your transactions as a CSV file.
  2. Set the date range for at least one day before the oldest transaction in the account in QuickBooks.
  3. Follow any on-screen instructions to finish the download.

After following the steps above, please proceed with importing your transactions. You can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings and click Imports.
  2. Choose the account you want to add the transactions into.
  3. Select Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank.
  4. Choose the file and select Open to start the import.
  5. Review the column headers and data. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks.
  6. Click Continue to complete the import.

For additional information, I've attached some articles to further guide you with importing transactions, as well as downloading older transactions:

Additionally, I'm adding these helpful articles for ideas about categorizing your transactions after managing your bank accounts.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions or concerns using QuickBooks. I'll be more than happy to help. Wishing you a good one.
