I have one connected bank account that will not update. It was working fine, and then decided not to bring in any more transactions past a certain point. Help?

I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting multiple times with no avail.

I've got you covered, @abearden-karehou.

I'll provide you with some tips on how to get the latest transactions from your bank account. Before that, may I ask which specific bank you're referring to? This way, I can inform you if there's an ongoing investigation regarding this matter and present accurate information.

In the meantime, let's review some details so QuickBooks Online (QBO) will start downloading transactions again. I'll show you how:

  • Manual Update
  1. Go to Banking.
  2. Select Update.

  • Update bank information in QBO
  1. If you've changed some information on your bank's website, update the same details in QBO as well. Let's go to Banking.
  2. Select the bank account and click Edit ✎.
  3. Click Edit sign-in info.
  4. Update the needed information.

If you've encountered specific bank errors, fix them by reading Step 4 in this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, we can sign in to your bank's website to see if there are issues on their end. This way, you can also check notifications from your bank that needs attention.

You might also want to set up bank rules to automatically categorize bank and credit card transactions.
