I have quickbook self employed account. Can you confirm if I can also file "Married filling jointly" IRS return with the account.

Yes, you can file @onlinechetan.

You'll have to track your status in your QBSE account to include your spouse's information. When you file as Married Filing Jointly, submit only one tax return.

Let me guide you through how.

  1. Go to Gear, then Tax profile.
  2. Under Tax profile, enter your Spouse's first name, last name, annual W2 income, and federal withholding.
  3. Scroll down and proceed with the Deduction and other information necessary.
  4. Click Save. See attached screenshots below.

Once you're done, export your file to TurboTax and file your tax return. This return contains both your income and expense information.

I'm also attaching these articles for additional reference.

Thanks for visiting the Community. Should you need help with anything else, please let me know. Happy Weekend.
