Closing or disconnecting your business credit card account in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is available in the Bank Transactions section, @info2183.

Before anything else, take note that all transactions within the For Review section will not remain unless you categorize them before closing the account in QBO.

Right now, let's dive into disconnecting your credit card account into our software. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab and select Bank Transactions.
  2. You have two options in locating the account you want to close. Either click the small blue card dropdown or the Next tab beside each account tile.

  3. Once you see it, press the tile and tip the Pencil icon in the upper right corner. Then, choose Edit account info.

  4. Tick the Disconnect this account on the save box and pick Yes on the pop-up instruction.

  5. Don't forget to go to the Save icon to apply the changes.

Speaking of the categorization of bank transactions I mentioned above, you might want QuickBooks to do it for you automatically. Then, check out this article: Set up bank rules to categorize online banking transactions in QuickBooks Online.
