I just want to reconcile one month. but every transaction from last year is showing up.

On the Reconciliation page, you can filter the date range. Here's how:

1. Click the Panel icon.
2. Select the From and To date, then click Apply.

MaryLurleen refers to the Funnel icon on the top-left side of the table. This is for QuickBooks Online. However, for the QuickBooks for Mac interface, we're unable to hide them.

Did you just add your transactions to QuickBooks? Your old transaction will always show if you won't reconcile them first. Most of the users reconcile starting from the oldest transition before they get into the previous month. It's still your choice.
