Hello,
Recently one of the employee card has been replaced and new number was issued. I clicked " Connect the account", choose Chase bank input the credentials and click on new card to be added. Procedure was completed with no errors, but new credit card did not appear in my account under " Banking" nor under
"Chart of Accounts" . I tried second time and got message that account is connected already, but still nothing in QuickBooks. I went to Chase.com and disconnected access from QuickBooks for all accounts.
Went again in QuickBooks and reconnect everything again all accounts are in QuickBooks except new account that i need to add. Please let me know how i can resolve this glitch.
I've got steps and info to ensure you can connect your Chase credit cards seamlessly in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @gorgid.
First off, you can’t connect both the parent account and its subaccounts. If you try to connect them, you’ll get a message that the account is already connected like in your case. Thus, I recommend contacting your bank on how your Chase accounts were set up. This way, you'll know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions and connect them successfully in QBO.
If the transactions download to one account, please connect only the parent account. Otherwise, you'll have to connect the subaccounts and not the parent account. For more info, please review this article: About bank or credit card subaccount setup.
If you want to view transactions for the parent or your subaccounts, you can run an Account QuickReport related to them. Just go to the Accounting menu, and then click Run report from the View Register drop-down.
To ensure all entries are accounted for correctly and prevent duplicates, you can categorize and match them. After that, you can reconcile them to make sure your books are correct.
You can count on me if you have more questions about managing your banking in QBO. Just add your reply in the comment section so I can assist you further. Take care and have a good one.
Hello and thanks for your reply. The Chase send info / data per particular card. I have 5 card holders ( 5 sub accounts), every card holder has his own account number. After the card got replaced the old account number could not get any data in QBO from Chase anymore so i did disconnect it. I connect new one, but I'm getting only 4 cards. On the Chase web site it shows that all sub accounts ( 5 cards) are connected to QBO and when i try to connect them from QBO it shows that all 5 cards are connected. But in fact only 4 cards connected to QBO right now. If i run Quick Report i can see only 4 cards and old card that was replaced. There is no trace of new card anywhere. So for some reason only 4 out of 5 get connected.
I made it work. I had to go to Chase again and remove permission to all accounts to QBO, so QBO can not get any data from Chase from all accounts. Than from QBO i only added the new card and it went OK.
After that i added another 4 cards and all 5 cards in QBO right now. For some reason it did not want to add new card by normal way, so it had to be played around.
