I appreciate you reaching out to us in the Community, @ehendricks.

I'm here to help make sure that you can edit a few payments in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

I tried this on my test file and was able to edit the payment. Just to confirm, are you trying to edit the payment on the Receive Payment window? If so, go back to that window and press Ctrl + H on your keyboard. This will open the Transaction History.

If you see the deposit on the Invoices Paid, Statement Charges Paid, and Payment Deposit section, double-click it to open. Then go to the Edit menu at the top and pick Delete Deposit (or press Ctrl + D for the shortcut). Once done, the payment should go back to the Undeposited Funds account.

However, I can see that you already perform the rebuild and verify utilities based on your other post. If the deposit is already deleted and you're still having the same issue, I suggest contacting our Phone Support team so they can check it out using their screen-sharing (remote access) tool and fix it for you.

You can refer to this article for the detailed steps on how to reach them: Contact the QuickBooks Desktop Customer Support Team.

That should get you pointed in the right direction. Please comment below to let me know how everything goes or if you're referring to something else. I'm always here to help. Have a good one.
