Hey there, @Alyssa23. To set up your business credit card or any bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you'll need to connect it to our software. The same goes for a checking account. I'll be glad to help you achieve that.
The option to link your business credit card account is available on the Banking Transactions page. Here's how:
- In the left panel menus, select Transactions and choose Banking Transactions.
- Click the Link Account tab from the left corner.

- Paste the URL or name of your business credit card provider in the Search field.
- Once you locate it, enter your sign info in the Login and Password fields, then pick Continue.
- Choose the credit card account you want to link and date to upload transactions from the Dropdown tab. Then, Next.
- Select the credit card as the Account Type. Ensure that it matches your Chart of Accounts (COA) in QuickBooks. Then, Save and Close.
- Map the bank account in the Existing Accounts dropdown, then click Next.
- Once done, pick Connect, then Done.
If you're referring to connecting your business credit card account via the COA, you can visit this article and go to the Connect your bank account from your Chart of Accounts section: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.
However, if you're unable to locate the financial provider of your credit card account in QBO, you can manually upload your transactions.
