You can change the tax form in the company settings, taunahopkins.

Here's how:

  1. On your client's account, click on the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and Settings.
  3. In the Company section, click on Company Type.
  4. Choose Nonprofit organization (Form 990).
  5. Click on Save.

If the system won't let you choose this option, please use the mater admin's login credentials to update the company settings.

Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi there, taunahopkins.

I appreciate you for getting back. Let me help clear this up.

In QuickBooks Online, you can change your company settings and change its industry type. However, transactions and reports made prior to changing this will no longer change. You may want to consider signing up a new company file to have those information.

As always, if you need someone to guide you through the whole process, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Care Team.

Here's how you can reach them:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact
  2. Select  QuickBooks Online.
  3. Select a category under “What can we help you with?”.
  4. Scroll down the page, then click the Get Phone Number.

I'm still here if you have additional questions about this. I'm always happy to assist. You have a wonderful day.
