I tried to reach support and I can't ever get the call back or chat option during support hours. I need to report a banking connection error as my bank is not connecting

The banking connection error can be due to the bank's maintenance or an incorrect name and URL. Thus, let's update the connection manually, check your bank website for alerts, and get the correct URL, Jessica.

 

Allow 24-48 hours first for your bank to resolve any potential issues from their end. Then, refresh the bank connection in QuickBooks Online (QBO):

 

  1. Go to the Transaction menu.
  2. Select the Bank Transaction.
  3. Tap the Update button.

 

If you've done the update, visit your bank's website and check for any maintenance updates, outages, or alerts that affect the connection. Please reach out to them if you need immediate assistance or further inquiries.

 

If everything is good from the bank's side, make sure to choose the correct bank name and URL used to connect the account in QBO.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to  Banking or Transactions on the left panel.
  2. Select Link account or Add account
  3. Look for your bank name, select it, and copy the URL listed for your bank.
  4. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your account.

 

Please know that various errors can cause bank connection issues. It would be helpful if you could share the name of your banking institution and the specific error message you are receiving so we can find an accurate fix.
