I was reconciling Jan 2019 and now it say I just reconciled Jan 2020. Any ideas? In History 2019 is not even listed.

A 2020 date might have been accidentally entered in the Ending Date field, peerlandscaping.

This can be the reason why the system is reconciling this year's transaction instead of January 2019. You can go to your Check Register and manually unreconcile each transaction for January 2020. Here's how:

  1. Open the bank register.
  2. Go to the section where January 2020's transactions are listed.
  3. Select a transaction that you need to unreconcile.
  4. Go to the Reconcile and Banking Status column.
  5. Click the R status twice or until it's blank.
  6. Click Save, then click Yes to confirm that you want to edit the transaction.
  7. Repeat the same process for the rest of the transactions.

Once done, go back to the Reconciliation window and proceed to reconciling the transactions from 2019. Make sure to enter the correct date in the Ending Date field.

You'll also want to run a Reconciliation Report to have a quick review of the reconciliations that you've made. Just go to the Reports menu and look for Reconciliation Report.
