I WOULD LIKE TO EDIT PAST RECONCILED MONTHS. JUST INFO, NOT AMOUNTS. IS THIS OK FOR MY ACCOUNTING? OR, DO I RUN THE RISK OF MESSING MY ALREADY RECONCILED REPORTS?

If you found some errors in 2018 and you haven't closed out the year, I'd make the corrections.  But if the earlier reports have gone out to owners or others that matter, you can tell them they will be receiving an amended report.

Then just re-run the reports for the given period, the report will show the actual date it was run.  Then rename the PDF to show it is amended.  Maybe something like: 2018-Q1 P&L Amended

If you do go back and change any numbers, names (vendor, customer, etc.) any inventory items, etc. it will change your prior reports.  About the only thing you can change are some basic text descriptions.

Hi @info59,

Thanks for joining the Community. I'd be delighted to assist you with your question on editing past reconciled months.

Just to clarify, what information are you wishing to change on the reconciled transactions?  Certain transactions can be changed, without altering the reconciled status, such as modifying a check's payee and expense account. In this instance, your reconcile reports will not update, but general reports will. I've included a brief video to serve as an example:

I also recommend the following resource, which is a hub of articles to assist with reconciling: Reconcile Hub.

As always, I'm only a post away if you should have any questions. Wishing you well.
