I can help you in switching from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), @galvanjg02.
You can automatically move your data from QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) if you can see the Explore QuickBooks Online plans option from the Billing info.
Here's how:
- From your homepage, click the Gear icon ⚙ and select Billing info.
- Check if you have the Explore QuickBooks Online plans option. Select Switch plan or Choose plan for the QuickBooks Online plan you want.
- Click on Bring my data to bring your data to QBO.
If you don't have the option that I'm referring to, then you’ll need to manually move your data. First, you'll have to create a QBO account, you can sign-up through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
After that, you can now connect the same bank and credit card accounts you used in QBSE. You no longer need to move any transactions. Instead, follow the steps to connect your accounts. It will automatically download several months of recent transactions.
Once done, you can now cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription. Here's how to cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.
