Identity fraud and what to do next involving properties

Security and keeping your account safe is one of our top priorities, @yasme792-gmail-c.

Fraudulent acts are widespread nowadays like phone calls, email messages might be phishing scams; some might contain viruses and other malicious software. If you've received suspicious calls or emails presenting themselves as Intuit, don't risk your personal information by opening or responding to the message.

We can report phishing emails through this link: http://security.intuit.com. This is where Intuit's security team posts information about SPAM and Phishing email attempts. Once you're in, you'll have to the Report an Issue tab and click the Report a suspicious E-mail link from the Report an Issue section. Then, enter the necessary information and click the Submit button when you're done.

Also, I'd recommend contacting your accountant on how to properly record the properties to make sure your books are accurate. If you're not affiliated with an accountant, you can visit our Intuit Find-A-ProAdvisor site to find certified professionals near you.

Once everything is settled, you'll want to categorize your transactions to ensure it's in the correct line with your Schedule C.

Additionally, you can check this article to know the different email addresses that we use to communicate with our customers and forward any suspicious email messages directly to Intuit for review: Is this email I receieved a legitimate communication from Intuit.

Let me know if there's anything else you need. I'll be here every step of the way. Keep safe.
