If I scroll down to the larger payments in the reconcile window, I cannot read the amount in the "cents" space. How do I expand the window to do this?

You can adjust the size of the Payment and Deposit columns to see the entire amount in the Reconciliation page. Just hover your mouse beside the Payment or Deposit header until you see an Expand icon. Hold your mouse and drag it to the left or right to resize the column. 

You also need to make sure that your browser's display settings are set to 100%. Here's an article as a guide: Unable to See the Entire Page in QuickBooks Online.
