I know that this hasn't been easy for you, wbriscoe.
I'll make sure that you connect and reconcile your accounts.
If it's your first time connecting your accounts, you can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to fix the issue. There are times that stored cache in the browser becomes corrupted causing unusual behaviors in QuickBooks Online.
You may start by accessing your QuickBooks account in a private/incognito browser. Doing this process will you rule in/out the browser as the culprit here. Feel free to use these shortcut keys:
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
- Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
Once you're in, head to the Banking page and connect your bank account again. If it's now working well, you'll have to go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to improve the system performance. You can also use other supported browsers as an alternative.
If this is an existing connection and downloads seem stuck, you manually update your bank account to get the latest available transactions. I'll show you how:
- Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
- Go to the Banking tab.
- Choose the appropriate bank account.
- Select Update.
Once they're in, you can now start categorizing them. Then, reconcile your accounts so they match your bank and credit card statements.
Keep me posted if you more help in managing your bank accounts in QuickBooks Online. I'll always have your back.
