Importing transactions from Square

Hello, I'm new to Quickbooks desktop for Mac. I'm doing a trial run with a trial version and find that when I to to import square transactions via the QB 'Import Sales Receipts' window, and choose 'Import From Square,'and then go to 'Transaction Center > Sales Receipts' to view my imported transactions, there is nothing there.

Can you point out what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Importing transactions from Square

It's nice to see you here in the Community, @RamoneKalsaw

I'm here to ensure you can import your transactions successfully from QuickBooks for Mac.

To figure this out, let's check with updating your QuickBooks to the latest release. It improves program functionality and fixes known issues. There are three ways on how you can download and install them.

These are the following:

  • In-product update
  • Manual update
  • Update QuickBooks Server for Mac

You can check out this article to learn how to update QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

If you encountered a problem after running the update, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling it. It refreshes your data and helps resolves unexpected behavior in the system.

In case you're using the CD to install the product, make sure you have it handy along with your license numbers.

Once ready, follow these steps to uninstall:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the Finder menu.
  3. Select on Go Applications.
  4. Drag the QuickBooks icon to the Trash.
  5. Reinstall the latest version.

After that, reinstall the latest version. Here's how:

  1. Go to QuickBooks Product Updates.
  2. Select your QuickBooks Desktop version.
  3. Click on Download to download the installer file to your computer.
  4. Double-click the downloaded .dmg file.
  5. Drag the QuickBooks Desktop icon to the Applications folder to install. Then, restore your company file in QuickBooks.

You can verify the update by pressing the Cmd+1.

If doing this doesn't make a difference, you may clean install the program. Please refer to this link for complete details about this procedure: Learn how to clean install or clean uninstall QuickBooks for Mac
