We’ll have to check the date range of the web connect file. Then, switch to the Register mode and then download it to a test company file.

This is to ensure you can download transactions into QuickBooks seamlessly. First, review the date range for the imported file.

Then, make sure the date is correct and does not overlap. For example, if you’ve successfully downloaded and imported entries for August 1-30, the date range for the current download should be September 1 and later.

If all the information is correct, let’s shift to the Register mode of your QuickBooks. Here’s how:

  1. Tap the Edit menu at the top to choose Preferences.
  2. Go to Checking on the left panel to select the Company Preferences tab.
  3. From there, navigate to the Bank Feeds section and mark the box for Classic Mode.
  4. Press OK.

Now that you’ve switched the banking mode, open a dummy file to set up the account for bank feeds. This is to test if the issue is with the account, company file, or the web connect file.

  1. Go to the File menu to choose the New Company.
  2. Then, click Express Start and follow the instructions to create a new company file.
  3. Once done, add the bank you’re working on and then set up the account for Bank Feeds.
  4. Download bank feed transactions to test the account.
  5. If new transactions download into this new file, the problem is likely with the account or the company file and then go directly to Solution 4.
  6. If new transactions don't show up in the new file, the issue s with the web connect (.qbo) file and then proceed to Solution 5.

To continue, follow the recommended steps in this article and perform Solutions 4-5: No new transactions when importing web connect file article.
