In QB Online, can you reverse an Authorize Funds transaction or do you have to wait until it "falls off"?

I can see in the wheel there is the option to 'reverse' but it doesn't appear when you actually search the transaction.

In QB Online, can you reverse an Authorize Funds transaction or do you have to wait until it "falls off"?

An authorization reversal is a transaction that invalids authorization by releasing the hold on funds in a customer's credit card account. If the funds you need to reverse is not posted in your Merchant account, it's possible they are not yet offloaded in your account.

 

You can either wait until the authorized funds to fall off or reach out to our QuickBooks Payments Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and help you reverse the funds. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Visit: https://community.intuit.com/browse/payments-contact-us.
  2. Choose the specific Merchants Service product you're using.
