I can help you resolve the error you've encountered with your bank, @NC75.

 

May I know what bank are you having trouble with? That will surely help us check if there's an ongoing issue with it. 

 

You can update your bank transactions manually to pull-up new transactions. See the following steps: 

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the left and click the blue tile at the top of the bank account. 
  2. Click the Update button. You'll then receive the Banking update finished notification once done. In case you're having duplicate transactions, you can simply exclude those transactions. That will be added under your Excluded tab and no longer appear in any associated account registers or reports.

Here's how to exclude a bank transaction: 

  1. Go back to your Banking page and click the For Review tab.
  2. Select the checkboxes of the transactions to exclude.
  3. From the Batch actions drop-down, click the Exclude Selected.

No the reply didn't resolve my issue.  I get updates most of the time and when i don't i know how to manually force the updates.  My problem is that the update is incomplete and sometimes it duplicates the upload and marks both as cleared match.   I have had problems since i reported in September.  I reached out when it continued and was told i would receive an email when the problem was fixed.  I have never received an email and it's not fixed other than the original issue was i was consistently not receiving updates and manual forcing of it wasn't working.  i started to get updates but they when it comes to a check they are coming over incomplete without name and check number is in description area so the updates don't automatically match, i have to 'find a match'.  Sometimes the match has already uploaded and been made, that's the newest problem it is uploading the 'match' twice as two seperate cleared (posted) events.

I appreciate such detailed information about your concern. There may be an ongoing system update with your bank. I recommend checking this with them.

 

In the meantime, you can follow MaryJoyD's suggestion which is to exclude those duplicate transactions from your Banking page. The steps on how to perform this are outlined above.

 

If your bank confirms no system maintenance, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Care Team so they conduct proper investigation. They have the special tools to help take a closer look on what's causing this issue when entering expenses.

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern.
  4. Click Let’s talk.
  5. Choose Get a callback
  6. Type in your contact info.
  7. Select Confirm my call
