You have two ways to get a wired card reader. You can either order it through the app or online. Make sure to use your physical mailing address, not the PO box when making the order. Because physical address is one of the requirements in delivering a product in QuickBooks.

In regards to your Bluetooth card reader that it takes a minute to turn on, there's a possibility that QuickBooks Gopayment and app is outdated.
To resolve this, access the card reader setting by logging into Gopaymnet or QuickBooks Online as an administrator. Then, disconnect the reader by following the steps below, depending on the color.
From the menu, select Settings.
Select Card Readers, then choose the card reader to disconnect.
From the Reader Actions drop-down, select Forget Reader.
Reconnect the reader.
Select More, then select Hardware.
Select Card Readers, then choose the card reader you want to disconnect.
From the Readers Actions drop-down, select Forget Reader.
