Is there a way to get Quickbooks to reconnect to my Credit Union Account? QB says the bank's site is down for maintenance and try later, but the site has not been down?

It looks like the only option I have is to delete the whole account and start over, losing all the prior data. The QB message gives me no other options or choices.

Hi there, stiles.

We'd want to make sure that you're able to get your transactions from your bank to QBSE. Have you also tried to use an incognito or private browsing session when refreshing the account?

If not, follow these keyboard shortcuts to quickly start an incognito session:

  • Google Chrome Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla CTRL + SHIFT + P
  • Microsoft Edge CTRL+SHIFT+P
  • Safari Command-Shift-N

Once done, log back in to your account and reconnect or refresh the account.

There's also another option aside from disconnecting the account. You can download a CSV file of your transactions from the bank's website and import them in QBSE.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then select Imports.
  2. Select the Credit Union account.
  3. Click Browse and find the file you downloaded from your bank. It's usually in your Downloads folder.
  4. Select the file and select Open to start the import.
  5. Review the column headers and data. Make sure the Date, Description, and Amount columns on the CSV match the columns and order in QuickBooks.
  6. Select Continue to complete the import.

Let me know if you need anything else.
