Manual Instant Deposit

My QBO account is setup for instant deposit but it is not turned on for automatic deposits.

I received a payment today through QBO and I want to use instant deposit.  I went to the deposit menu under sales and the deposit is shown pending but there is no option to manually make an instant deposit.

There is an option to turn on instant deposit for certain days of the weeks, which I will do it I have to, but would prefer not to.  I have manually created an instant deposit before but I can’t find in the menus where that option is located.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

EJ

Manual Instant Deposit

You can request a manual instant deposit, EJ. I'm here to guide you.

Let's ensure to request on or before 3 PM PST to get your money or deposit on the same day. If you've requested after that time, we process the payment at the normal speed.

Here's how to request the instant deposit:

  1. Click Sales.
  2. Go to the Deposits tab.
  3. Click Get it now in the instant deposit section.
  4. Review the total and associated fees.
  5. Once you're ready, click Get it now.

You'll receive the payment within minutes. It can take up to 30 minutes depending on your bank. You'll receive an email notification once it's deposited successfully.

For more information, you can refer to this article: Get instant deposits in QuickBooks Online.

Manual Instant Deposit

Kristine -

Thank you for your reply.

I did follow those steps but the :”Get It Now” option wasn’t available and I am not sure why.

When I checked my QBO Account today it stated that the deposit would be in the bank tomorrow but the “Get It Now” option still wasn’t available.  I’m not sure why, because the client involved has been paying me through QBO for the past several months and the “Get It Now” option has been available.

Hello there, GolfNut72.

I appreciate you for following the recommendation shared by my colleague above.

The Get it now option is available in the program. This feature helps you to apply instant deposits. Since this option is not showing in your QuickBooks Online account, we can use an incognito window. This type of window doesn’t store any cache that causes a browser to load slowly or experiencing unusual behavior.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

If you're able to see it, go back to their regular browser and clear its cache to prevent any unexpected behavior. You can also use other compatible browsers in QBO.

If you have questions soon about QuickBooks, please let us know by posting them in the Community. We'll make sure to provide the details you need and help you with that. Take care always.

Hi- the Instant deposit feature has been inconsistent and has not shown up as an option. I have cleared cache as recommended, but no luck? I called Customer service and they were not able to provide resolution. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hello, Johnro.

I've checked with my resources and verify with our engineering team we haven't received any similar issues reported in QuickBooks Online. Since you've tried clearing cache and still getting the same result, Let's go ahead and use other supported browsers to better isolate the possibility of a browser-related issue.

If the same things happen, I suggest reaching out again to our Customer support team. They can take a look at your account and verify what causes the unexpected behavior. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Select Talk to a human.
  3. Enter "Talk to a human" again in the search bar.
  4. Choose I still need a human, then click Contact us.
  5. Select Get a callback or Send a message to start a conversation.

Our representatives are available from Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.

For future reference, you can browse for related topics in our QuickBooks Articles hub. We have available articles with some easy steps to your how do I tasks.

Don't hesitate to reach out to us again if you need anything else. Stay safe!

Hi Ailene- Thank you for your response. I did try several other browsers with no luck. I did contact Support and they were not able to identify the issue. I will try again.

@Johnro

Afaik, the instant deposit of QB Payment is the default option.

I have had this same issue.  Most of the time when I receive a payment through QB Payments, the payment has the option for Get it now.  But on some occasions, it does not.

Hello there, @LCreech.

Thank you for posting here in the Community. Let me enlighten you with the Instant deposit feature in QuickBooks Payments.

The Get it now option appears if there's an available balance on your debit card. From there, it automatically deposits to your checking account. To see your available balance:

  1. Go to the Sales menu.
  2. Select the Deposits tab.
  3. Review your available balance.

You can get an instant deposit if there's an available balance. Just to let you know that you can get the entire available balance, not a portion of it.

Since you no longer seeing this option, I suggest reaching out to our Payments support to verify and review your account. Just click the link and get the number under QuickBooks Online with Pay.

Here are a couple of helpful resources about instant deposits:

Same here. Every since the 0% Quickbooks Checking option came out.. the old 1% fast option is gone. This is a big problem for us.

hashSue,

What you are saying could be very true, I'm having the same issue since last Wednesday on Instant Deposit.

I have not been able to Instant Deposit any of my payment transactions, I called Quickbooks Online customer service number and have been told the following:

1. My bank has a hold on my account - NOT TRUE - My bank confirmed with Quickbooks Merchant services that my account has no holds at all!

2. My Instant Deposits are not eligible for Instant Deposit - NOT TRUE, because it worked two weeks ago (and prior) for the same clients and with the exact same card profiles.

3. My business debit card used for instant deposit had to be re-entered into the QuickBooks payment tab because of a software update that may have corrupted it as it updated. NOT TRUE, because after reentering the information and verifying it. The next payment that came in the same day after that re-entry of information was still exhibiting the same exact issue where it did not allow me to instant deposit.

This is an absolute mess. While QBO has been good delivering a better online application, it's most valuable feature on payments doesn't work reliably even when it was working. What I mean by that is, that out of my payments more that 10% -15% of time each week my payments would not "Instant Deposit", starting last Wedneday, it's now all of them. No one in Quickbooks payments and merchant services up to this point has been helpful in finding out exactly why.

I already did and I'm waiting on a phone call from Kimberly from the QB Payments Support team. She stated in our last phone conversation at 4:35pm EST, that she was looking into it and would email when she's ready to talk to me again. So far, at 7:32pm est, I have not received an email or a phone call from Kimberly or anyone.
