CAN'T UPLOAD TRANSACTIONS TO ONE OF OUR BANK ACCOUNTS, THE ONE NOT ELECTRONICALLY CONNECTED TO A BANK.
We're using QuickBooks Online Plus, not fully operational yet. So just setting up.
So far we have two Banks set up; one is conected to the Bank and transactions automatically import FROM THE BANK fine.
The other account is not connected to the bank. We want to import the Mexican $ (MXN) transactions. But we cannot find a way to do this.
There is a video explaining how to import bank transactions: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/import-transactions/manually-upload-transactions-i... but the menu choices shown in it are no longer what is available online.
The video, at 1:54, says to use menu choice: TRANSACTIONS > Banking. 
Further down on that web page, it describes how to import: `
Step 4: Start your upload For accounts connected to online banking
If your account is connected to online banking, here’s how to start your upload:
- In QuickBooks Online, go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu. Then select the Banking tab.
- Select the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
- Select the Update (funny triangle removed so could post) and then File upload.

But our online software does not have a high-level menu choice called: TRANSACTIONS. Note how I have the Accountant's access, but that shouldn't make a difference.
And our Banking > Banking page does not include this MXN account:
Note that this MXN account is set up as: CASH ON HAND (it is really petty cash not a true bank account.) But then we temporarily changed it to a CHECKING account, and it still didn't appear on the BANKING > BANKING page after refreshing.
COULD THIS INABILITY BE BECAUSE EITHER:
- The QBO menus are not what they should be?
- This is a non-base currency account
- This bank account is not connected to the bank, and only such accounts can import transactions (would be silly - it's even more necessary to import transactions for accounts that can't download transactions automatically.)

I appreciate your detailed response here in the Community. Allow me to chime in and share some clarification about manually importing bank transactions in QuickBooks.
The MXN account will only show up in the bank feeds section after manually importing the data. To upload your bank transactions, you can click the Upload from file option regardless of the account highlighted in Banking.
Here's how:
- On the left navigation bar, click Banking.
- Press the drop-down arrow beside Update.
- Select Upload from file.
- Click Browse.
- Choose the file you want to upload.
- Hit Next.
- Under QuickBooks Account, select the MXN account, then press Next.
- Map the columns and click Next.
- Select the transactions to import and hit Next until finish.

I can share a bunch of insights and steps to ensure you can manually upload transactions in your QuickBooks Online account.
First, QuickBooks Online (QBO) has recently made improvements on the left navigation menu. We're gradually transitioning all of the users to have the same design from the Banking to Transactions pane. However, this won't affect when you import transactions in QBO. You can still achieve it with just a few clicks.
For more information about the newly added features, please check out our QuickBooks Blog site. Then, go to the What's New in QBO tab.
Second, based on your screenshot, it looks like you've already turned on the multi-currency feature. And the good thing is, Mexican Peso (MXN) currency is supported in QBO. Thus, it can't affect the upload process as well. For more insights, please read through this article: List of supported currencies.
Third, you can still import your entries even if your account is not connected to online banking. Once successful, you'll be able to see the said account on the Banking page along with their transactions. You'll just need to make sure that the file has the accepted format. These are the following:
- Comma-Separated Values (CSV).
- QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Quicken (QFX).
If your file isn’t formatted, you can reformat and then upload it. The maximum file size is 350 KB. If your file is too big, please shorten the date range and download your entries in smaller batches. To ensure you don't miss something, you can review steps 1 and 2 of this article: Manually upload transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Once ready, you can now upload your transactions into QBO. Here's how:
- Go to the Banking menu, and then choose Upload transactions.
- Select Browse and pick the file you downloaded from your bank, then tap Next
- From the QuickBooks account ▼ drop-down menu, choose the account you want to upload the transactions into, and then click Next.
- Follow the onscreen instructions. Match the columns on the file with the banking fields in QuickBooks, and then tap Next.
- Hit Let's go when you're ready.
Lastly, to ensure all entries are accounted for correctly and with no duplicates, you can categorize and match them. Then, reconcile them to ensure your books are accurate.
