Memorized Transactions

In QB Mac when I enter a "DEPOSIT" and memorized the transaction it works fine the 1st time but when I go to another bank account and then try to enter a "MEMORIZED DEPOSIT", the computer does not pick up the bank account that was memorized but rather picks up the last bank account transaction account.  For example I enter a memorized check transaction on bank account #1 and it works just fine.  The I enter a memorized Deposit transaction that is set up to deposit to BANK ACCOUNT #2, surprise it does not go to bank account #2 but goes to the last bank account that was used (prior to the Deposit Memorized Transaction).  The happens every time.  What is happening?  I have deleted and reentered the memorized Depost transaction several times and that does not fix the issue.  It appears to be a bug in the software.

Memorized Transactions

The unexpected behavior can be caused by a corrupted data, Eddie21. Let's run the Verify/Rebuild utility to detect the data damage.

You can follow these steps:

  1. Click File.
  2. Go to Utilities, then choose Verify Data.
  3. If QuickBooks detected no problems, there's no further action needed. If you receive a message, "Your data has failed the integrity check," the file is damaged. Just continue to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.
  4. When you Rebuild Data, you'll receive a message to back up your company file, just click OK. The utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."
  6. Run Verify Data again to check for remaining data damage.

Once done, let's update QuickBooks for Mac to the latest release. It's to ensure you have the latest updates and critical fixes.
