moving transactions from Undeposited Funds to other account

We started on QB Desktop then moved to QBO early last year. We never reconciled the accounts either. The other two people that work on quickbooks with me don't know that much about it other than creating invoices and receiving payments.

All received payments were put into Undeposited Funds, but never moved out and into the main account after they were deposited into the bank. I think I got the gist of how to do it and I've done it before, but the last time I did it, the main account register now has 2 deposits for it and the payment.

One of the deposits amount appears in the payment column.

The other deposit and the payment appear in the deposit column.

which one do I delete?

moving transactions from Undeposited Funds to other account

Good day, @Kelsie504.

Allow me to share with you some insights about your question. First, transactions that appear on the Payment column means that you've made a money-out transaction such as an expense.

Also, the other deposit and payment section could be a duplicate transaction if it has the same amount. One could be made by doing manual deposit for the payment and the other one is done by receiving the payment through Undeposited Funds.

Delete the manually recorded deposit to clear the undeposited fund. However, to make sure your transactions aren't messed up, I recommend sending us screenshots. This way, we can have a better look and give you accurate suggestions.

Meanwhile, you can check out this help article if you've got other QuickBooks concerns: Help article.

Keep me posted if you have additional questions with your account register. I'll be here to back you up. Have a fantastic day and keep safe!
