My bank changed my user id and now I can't connect the bank to Quickbooks. I can get as far as connecting with the bank but it won't finish the connection.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can’t connect your bank if your login details aren’t up to date. Could you let me know if you saw an error code or message when trying to connect? If yes, please share the exact message.
 

If your bank account login information hasn’t been updated yet in QBO, you can update them by going to the Bank transactions page. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Accounting tab and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click the drop-down menu next to the Link account tab and choose Manage connections.
  3. Select the bank account in question and click on the three dots option.
  4. Click the Edit sign-in info.
  5. Enter the updated user ID and Password on the specified field, then click Save and connect.

 

If the issue persist, I recommend contacting your banking institution to check for any required verification actions.
