My bank register changed to sorting new transactions to the bottom of the page. How do I change this back?

I have to scroll all the way to the bottom every time I want to add a new transaction!

My bank register changed to sorting new transactions to the bottom of the page. How do I change this back?

Hello there, Lisa. Let’s bring those transactions to the latest ones, so you don’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom when adding new transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

When you click the Date column header in the Bank Register, it toggles between ascending (oldest first) and descending (newest first).

To fix this, we can toggle this to flip or change the sorting order of your transactions.

Here's how:

  1. Open your Bank Register from the Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the Date Dropdown column header in the register view.

  3. Click on it to toggle between ascending (oldest first) and descending (newest first).

Once done, you can visit this page for further guidance on how to add new transactions, such as checks, deposits, or journal entries, to your register: Add a transaction to an account register.

Additionally, I suggest considering our QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted service to enhance your QBO experience. Our knowledgeable team of experts stands ready to provide immediate support tailored to your business's unique needs.

You're always welcome to post your questions or concerns in the Comment section below, Lisa.
