My file upload was duplicated and tripled upon upload Any thoughts?

Your struggle ends here, userlesleyla2000.

Allow me to fill you in on everything about duplicate transactions upon uploading them in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

One of the possible reasons why there are duplicate transactions is that your bank had issues. The way we fetch data for transactions that change the date and/or descriptions within your bank's website can also cause this. You may want to consider checking the file you downloaded from your financial institution.

In the meantime, you can get rid of the duplicate transactions by excluding them. Here's how:

  1. Click Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select the appropriate bank account involved.
  3. Go to For Review tab, then select all the transactions you want to exclude.
  4. Click Exclude.

I'm adding this article for more details: Exclude a bank transaction from your expenses in QuickBooks Online.

Also, it's possible that you added the transaction from the Banking page even when you already recorded them in QBO. To avoid this from happening, you'll want to make sure that you match your downloaded transactions to your QuickBooks.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance managing your uploaded transactions, or there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day.
