Try opening your QBO account on any private/incognito browser.

Thanks for taking the time to scour our Community space for potential solutions. If you haven't encountered this yet, this solution will prove useful in resolving banking issues, egpumpkin92-hotm.

I would also appreciate it if you can tell me the name of your bank for us to check our records if there are any reported cases. We can sign in to your bank's website to check for notifications that need attention or review any ongoing maintenance. If everything is good from your bank's side, make sure to select the correct bank name when connecting the account.

To refresh the bank connected to your QuickBooks Online (QBO), we can manually update your bank account to get the latest available transactions. Here's how:

  1. Select Banking or Transactions from the sidebar menu.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Choose the appropriate bank account.
  4. Click Update.

Here's an article you can refer to for more details on what to do if you see error messages or don't see recently downloaded bank transactions. We can also perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue. At times, the accumulated cache in your browser causes sync and connection issues between your bank's website and QBO. Just access your account in a private or incognito window. Just refer to the shortcut keys I've listed below:

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
  • Command Shift for Safari

Once you're in, head to the Banking or Transactions menu again. If you're able to connect without any issues, go back to your regular browser and then clear its cache and cookies to start over fresh. Alternatively, you can switch to other supported browsers.

If there are duplicate transactions, you can exclude them from the Banking page. To manually import your bank transactions using a .CSV file, follow the steps below:

  1. Get the transactions from your bank.
  2. Review the file format and size.
  3. Upload the transactions to QuickBooks.

Feel free to visit our Banking page for more insights about managing your bank feeds and reconciling accounts.

You can always update us on the result after performing the recommended solutions as I'd like to ensure this is resolved for you. Just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you. Have a great day ahead.
