My QuickBooks has started importing transactions from my personal bank account even though it is clicked "off." How do I fix this?

Under "Bank Accounts"  my Adv Plus Banking is my personal account and I keep this clicked to "off." Recently QuickBooks has been importing data from this account and listing it as transactions in my "Business Fundamentals Account." I have tried turning my Adv Plus Banking (the personal account) on and off which works temporarily, but in doing this, I am now receiving multiple duplicate business account entries daily. How can I fix this?

Once you turned off your Adv Plus Banking from your Bank accounts page, it should no longer show all the transactions from that account. For more information about this, see this article: Hide or Delete A Bank Account.

To help fix this, let’s first delete the duplicate business account entries by excluding them. I’m here to walk you through the steps.

  1. Log in to your Self-Employed account using a web browser.
  2. Go to Transactions from the left menu.
  3. Click Review now.
  4. Check the boxes beside the transaction dates.
  5. Click Exclude.

Once done, you can turn on and off your personal account again. This way, you’ll not be able to see the transactions from the hidden account.
