I'm more than happy to show you how to edit the opening balance of your account, @justin55.

Follow these steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Locate the account from the list and select View register.
  4. Sort the date from oldest to newest by clicking the arrow beside Date.
  5. Click for the opening balance entry. It should have “Opening Balance Equity” in the Account column. Then, click Edit.

  6. Edit the amount and any necessary changes.
  7. Select Save and close.

These steps are available from our guide on fixing beginning balance. This article also comes in handy when it's your first time reconciling an account.

Let me know if you need further assistance in managing your Chart of Accounts. I'm always here to help. Have a wonderful day!
