New to QB! I messed up one of my bank accounts and don't see it. I tried to disconnect and reconnect my bank accounts but I am still not seeing it. How can I fix it?

2 out of 3 accounts are showing up. When I go to reconnect my accounts all 3 show up there, but only 2 are in my dashboard..... Since I just started I was wondering if I could just delete everything and start over but not seeing an option for that....

I'm here to help you delete your data and have a fresh start in QuickBooks Online. Once you do this process, you can no longer retrieve all the information entered into the system. 

 

As long as your account aged is less than 60 days, you can use the purge option. However, that'll only work if you're using QuickBooks Online Essentials or Plus. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Change the URL to include /purgecompany. Example: URL shows https://qbo.intuit.com/c28/app/homepage, change to https://qbo.intuit.com/c28/app/purgecompany.
  3. The next screen will provide a summary of the items to be deleted.
  4. Type the word YES once the data gets deleted, then click OK.
  5. Click Wipe Data.
  6. Once completed, you will be rerouted to your home page.

It won’t let me go to the “purge company” page.

 
An error message comes up that says “ this operation is allowed only for QB Online Plus, QB Online edition, or QB online essentials companies.
 
I just had the simple addition. I just signed up Iike  3 days ago though.... So if I could just start over that would be fine cause. Haven’t done much yet.

To resolve this, if you are using a trial version you can delete the transactions manually and disconnect your banks first. Then you can re-create another company with the same log in credentials. However, if you have already paid for the subscription, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team to to handle the payments and verify the account.

 

Here's how to re-create another company:

 

  1. Go to https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
  2. Choose the Plan you want to subscribe.
  3. You can either use Trial version or Buy now.
  4. Enter the credentials you have registered in QuickBooks Online.
  5. You will see a notification that the user ID is already taken, click on the Sign in button.


     
  6. Confirm the user id and follow the on-screen instructions.

 

Now you can start a new book for your finances.
