No longer able to change business\personal\split

Hi there!

I have just been entering a few transactions after a small error and have lost the ability to specify whether it is a business or personal or split transaction. It will no longer allow me to click on it, has it just solid black online and no longer a blue colour that would allow to change, if that makes any sense! I am not sure how I have messed this up and am unsure how to fix it. If someone could help that would be amazing!!

No longer able to change business\personal\split

Thanks for sharing the details with me, @krabin.

Let's open your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account via a private or incognito window. This way, we can check if this issue is due to pilled up cache from the browser.

Stored browsing data for a while causes unusual behavior to your browser that affects the views and performance of your QBSE. Nonetheless, here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private or incognito window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to specify the transaction while on a private window, then, we'll need to clear your regular browser's cache. This will remove all the pilled up data and make your browser to function efficiently.

However, if the issue persists, I recommend using other browsers. This way, we can also check if this a browser-related issue.

Additionally, I got you this article that you can use for future reference: QuickBooks Self-Employed Schedule C Categories breakdown. Here, you'll learn more about the different expense categories in QBSE.

Let me know if you have other concerns. I'm always here to back you up. Take care and stay safe!
