I recently upgraded to QB Desktop Pro 2021. I use Web Connect to download transactions from my bank. When I went in to Bank Feeds to view and match transactions, nothing showed in the register up top....only the unmatched transactions at the bottom. Any help?
Hello there, CCBinPTC.
I can help you check your bank feeds settings.
Before we start, let's make sure you're using a supported version of QuickBooks Desktop and updated your Internet Explorer to the latest version. Then, you can check out your bank modes which display and handles transactions in your Bank Feeds differently.
For more info on what these modes display, you can use this link: Switch between banking modes. In addition, feel free to use this article on how to manage your bank feeds.
Let me know if you have other questions and how this works for you. I'll be here to help. Take care!
Hi Catherine,
I figured out what the problem is but it has lead to another one. Somehow another checking account was created and was being used for the Web Connect file. So I deactivated it and merged it into the original checking account. However, now I can't get this account activated for bank feeds. And when I try to import the Web Connect file, the checking account doesn't appear in the dropdown to select.
Thanks for the prompt reply, @CCBinPTC. Let's sort this out to download your bank transactions.
The steps shared by my colleague Catherine_B should fix the issue about your downloaded transactions since the checking account, doesn't appear in the Web Connect file, I'd suggest creating a test file. This is to check if the issue is with your company file or the .qbo file. See if you can import your transactions into a new company file.
If you can import the file, go back to your original file and reset them.
However, if you couldn't see transactions in the test company file, the issue is likely with the .qbo file from your bank. That said, reach out to your bank for help getting the right file. Banks and financial institutions that use Web Connect know how to handle these types of issues.
