Hi there, @kaplan101.
Welcome to the Community and thank you for choosing QuickBooks as part of your business.
In order to successfully convert all your transactions and settle the outstanding checks, you will need to get in touch with your previous software. They have all the necessary tools to process your request. Also, they can provide insights such as the product limitations for conversion.

Hello,
I have two companies both on quickbooks desktop and I want to merge them into a new company. How do I get the outstanding checks to show up on the reconcilliation the first month?
Hello,
I have two companies on quickbooks desktop and I am planning on merging them into a new company 1/1/2020. I am not sure how to handle the outstanding checks from both companies. How do I get them into the new company so that they can be part of the cash rec going forward?
You'll want to recreate the checks, JohnBig.
These outstanding checks are still uncleared. So to add these to the new company you're going to create, you'll have to enter them again as checks. On the Banking menu, select Checks. Enter them as you normally enter checks in QuickBooks Desktop.
You can check this article for more information: Create, modify, and print checks.
Let me know if you have additional questions about the process.
