Join nowHi, apologies if this is the wrong board. First post.
I want to do a rec, but the payee column is not showing. There are a lot of payments with the same amounts so I need the payee showing to know what I'm checking is correct.
I've gone into the cog within the rec and the payee column is ticked.
Any ideas about how I can get it to show please?
Many thanks
Cathy
Welcome to the Community, CH2020.
Thank you for posting your concern here with us. I'll make sure you can view the payee column and select the right transaction so you'll be able to continue reconciling your account.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) uses browser cache and cookies to perform its best. Once it gets full of outdated files, it'll cause issues the same as yours.
You can fix this by clearing your browser's cache. If you're using Google Chrome, kindly refer to the steps below:
If you're using other supported browsers, check out this article for the detailed steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online. It also contains steps on how to clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser.
After clearing your browser's cache, you can now continue reconciling your account by performing the detailed steps provided on this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online. This also contains reminders if you'll make any changes after you reconcile.
Please let me know if you have other concerns. I'm just around to help.
So this is happening with me but using the Enterprise version. Any ideas on how to fix that?
Thank you!
Hi there, @marual.
Let's create a sample company file and reconcile your account from there. This way, we can check if this issue is caused by data problems in your company file.
To create a sample company file in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can follow these steps:
For more details, you can read this article: Create a QuickBooks Desktop Company File.
If you're able to see the payee when reconciling your account via a sample file, then we'll need to run the Verify and Rebuild Data utility tool. This will resolve minor data issues in your company file.
However, if the issue persists, I recommend performing a clean install. This will fix the data problem in your company file.
Also, I'm adding these great resources that can guide you in reconciling your account in QBDT:
