PayPal Bank Account was deleted from banking

I had transactions to review under Banking, PayPal Bank.   I was working to resolve the error message for not having a fee setting for PayPal fees, where it told me to fix settings in Connect to PayPal which I did not think we were using.  I went back to Banking and PayPal Bank was no longer there.   I looked at Audit Log and it said I deleted it.  I did not delete it - reading instructions on how to delete I was not even close to those steps.  Anyway, I am trying to re-establish the PayPal Bank under banking. My only option sends me to Connect to PayPal.  How can I verify we use that app?  And if we do not use it, how can I reestablish connection to Bank Feeds from PayPal?

PayPal Bank Account was deleted from banking

Thanks for the details, dineskd.

I'm glad to know that you were able to review the Audit Log. Since the Paypal app was accidentally deleted in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, let me provide you the steps to reconnect it.

First though, you're right that you'll have to use the Connect to Paypal app to reestablish the connection of the bank feeds to QBO.

To do this, follow the steps I've laid out below:

  1. Login to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Select Apps from the left menu.
  3. Type in and select Connect to PayPal in the Search Apps field,
  4. Click the Get App Now button.
  5. Select the Let's do it button.
  6. To authorize Intuit to pull data from your PayPal account, select the Give permission button.
  7. Enter the email address associated with your PayPal account then select Next.
  8. Enter your PayPal credentials then select Sign-in.
  9. To authorize the sync, select the Agree and Connect button.
  10. Once the connection is established, you will then select Return to Intuit.
  11. Select the account where you'll find your PayPal transactions, select Next.
  12. Select the Sales tax rate that will be applied to all imported Sales transactions then select Next.
  13. If you have historical transactions, select the date in which you like to start importing from then and select Done. You can import up to 18 months of historical transactions.

That's it. You have successfully set this up and will see the PayPal connection on the Banking screen.

Feel free to take a look at this article for more insights: Connect to PayPal Guide.
