PayPal - Bank Feed

Hi thayesbluvista,

I'd love to help you import your PayPal transactions.

If you're using QuickBooks Online, you can download the Sync with PayPal app to integrate the two programs. Here's where you can read step-by-step instructions, and watch a video tutorial: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/tutorials/lessons/how-to-sync-with-paypal/. I also recommend checking out this article, which will help you with mapping and first-time setup: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1146124.

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop, those transactions will need to be imported manually. First, I recommend contacting PayPal to see if they have the option to export .iif files. If so, you can export the file, save it to your desktop, and then follow these steps to import it into QuickBooks:

NOTE: Always do a backup of your file before importing .iif files as they cannot be reversed.

  • From the QuickBooks File menu, select Utilities > Import > IIF Files.
  • Select the .iif file located on the desktop.
  • Click Open.

If you have any additional questions or need assistance along the way, please feel free to let me know.

PayPal - Bank Feed

HI @thayesbluvista,

Yes, you can use Paypal through the bank feed. Its the best way to connect it and bring in the transactions. You would add it much like any other bank. Go to the banking page, Add account and type in Paypal. Then you will need to enter your login credentials. After that it should bring in your transactions. :)
