Join nowI am having the same issue. This has never happened before, so I’m hoping it’s just a delay and will be resolved soon.
Hi, @userbari and @Mintcoatings.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the processing and approval of cut-off times depend on your payroll service. When you run a direct deposit (DD) that has two banking days lead time, your employees will receive their pay two banking days after submitting it.
In addition, we are currently seeing other users posting the same issue here in the Community. We will also inform our Product Engineers about this behavior so they can investigate further.
Also, I highly suggest contacting our Payroll Support team. They have tools such as screen-sharing (remote access) that can pull up your account in a secure environment and check the status of your DD.
Here's how to reach them:

From what I can tell, this is a global issue, and a moderator chatbot trying to cybersplain the problem is insulting. We have always done the same thing, and this time it didn't work. For anyone using QB online payroll, apparently.
Hello, @Kfrank1228. I understand how frustrating this is and how important it is for our customers to pay employees on time and promptly. Right now our team is aware of this issue with direct deposits and is working on getting this resolved ASAP.
Currently, the bank/financial institution has until 5 pm to deposit the money to the employee accounts. Regardless, we're actively tracking each of our affected customer accounts to see if we can provide a more accurate time frame and get employees paid sooner.
It's very important that you DO NOT cancel payroll and create paper checks.
We'll monitor the situation closely and keep you all included in any updates as they come to us here in the Community.
Thank you for your patience while we work on this issue.
