Processing donation checks and importing donations for other sources

I am working with a non profit that receives donations from multiple sources such as individual checks, Paypal, Qgiv, Amazon, Facebook. Are there any donation software solutions out there that would allow scanning checks as well as importing spreadsheets from other sources so all donations can be in one central source?

Processing donation checks and importing donations for other sources

Hello there, @123bobcats.

Thank you for posting in the Community. I'd be happy to help share some options to scan donation information in QuickBooks Online.

Currently, the option to scan transactions in QuickBooks Online is unavailable. I recommend using a third-party application to scan your checks and importing spreadsheets from other sources.

You can browse our different options for third-party apps from the Apps Center. Just click Apps from the left navigation panel on your QuickBooks Online homepage or go to Apps.intuit.com. If you can't find what you need, you can try searching the web.

Another way is to add them as attachments.

Here's how:

  1. At the top right, click the Gear icon
  2. Select Attachments.
  3. Click Attachments at the upper left corner of the screen.
  4. Browse and select the document you want to attach.
  5. Select Open.

For more details about this process, I suggest checking this article: Attachments in QuickBooks Online.

If you need additional help, feel free to reach out to our Phone Support. They'll be able to assist you in getting this resolved.

Keep me posted if you have any other questions about scanning donation checks and spreadsheets. I'll be happy to help you out.

When it's time to create donor statements, which QB won't do properly, you may want to use our app: BRC Donor Statements - QB Online
