QB for Mac not syncing with Citibank

This has been going on for a week. I contacted customer service and was told that the engineering team is working on it, that they have no time line for fixing it, and that they will not refund pro rata for the periods of time when this isn't working.


I can't access up to date information about my business. This is unacceptable.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. I'm here to assist you with syncing Citibank transactions in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.


I've double-checked the system and no longer found any open investigation specific for users using the Mac version. We can perform some basic troubleshooting to resolve any online banking issues going on with your program.


Please start with creating a new test company file and connecting your Citibank account. Here's how:


  1. Click the File tab at the top menu bar.
  2. Click New Company.
  3. Enter a name.
  4. Click Save.
  5. In the Create New Company wizard, enter the necessary information.
  6. Click Finish.
  7. The the Citibank account to the Chart of Accounts.
  8. Set up Online Banking for that account.
  9. Download transactions to the test account.
