QB opening balance has changed since last reconcile & does not match discrepancy report. How can I change an statement start balance to match statement start balance?

To fix your opening balance to match with the ending balance in your bank statement, you can edit it in the Bank Register page. I'll show you how to do that.

1. In your QuickBooks Online (QBO) company, go to the Hamburger icon and select Accounting.
2. Choose Charts of Accounts and locate the account.
3. Click the View Register to expand the page.
4. Run through the list until you find any reconciled entries indicated with an R in the checkmark column. Only the Opening Balance Equity should show as reconciled.
5. Enter the correct opening balance under the Deposit column.
6. Hit Save.
