quickbooks balance does't match bank balance

I have my checking, savings and some credit cards attached to quickbooks, when I've reconciled the balance on my quickbooks doesn't match the balance on my actual account. How can I fix this?

I've been using it for two years and have never cared about it,  at the beginning I used to enter expenses manually and now I do it thru the bank, I don't know if that makes a difference

Everything that you enter in QuickBooks Online matters, onesourcecarpet.

There are different reasons why the Bank balance and In QuickBooks balance don't match. It could be that:

  • the beginning balance in QuickBooks Online is incorrect.
  • there are transactions that were entered incorrectly or duplicates.
  • previously reconciled transactions were edited or deleted.

If this is your first time reconciling the account, here's a link that you can use as a guide to correct the beginning balance: Fix beginning balance issues during your first reconciliation in QuickBooks Online.

If you've previously reconciled the affected account, here's a different link that you can use for reference: Fix beginning balance issues if you've reconciled the account in the past QuickBooks Online.

Aside from those links above, here are some additional references regarding the reconciliation:
