Quickbooks Bank Feeds Payment Date

When choosing bills to be paid via on-line banking (NOT Quickbooks Bill-Pay but via third-party bank), Quickbooks generates a payment date 6 days in the future.  When sending the payment requests to the bank, Bank Feeds generates an error indicating that the payment date is too soon and must be 7 days in the future.  Is there a way to correct this "payment date" without having to go into every bill payment and manually changing the date that Quickbooks generates?  Is there a way to set the default payment date chosen by Quickbooks for bill payment?

Re: Quickbooks Bank Feeds Payment Date

Hello REngimann,

We can check your settings if it's set to use "today's" date as default. Also, please verify the payment term of the bill.

Here's how to check the settings:

  1. From the Edit menu, click Preferences
  2. Select General at the left menu.
  3. Then, click My Preferences tab.
  4. Under the Default date to use for new transactions, select Use Today's date as default
  5. After, click OK

These two are some possible reasons why QuickBooks will generate an advance payment date.

In addition, you can check with your third party provider if they have default payment settings.

I'll be around if you need anything else. Have a good one!
