Quickbooks credit card credit entry

All of a sudden when I make a credit entry in my credit card, it duplicates the entry as a charge. But in my register, there is only one entry!

I'll help you get rid of the duplicate, stewartshevin.

 

It could be that there's a data integrity issue in your company file that's why it's duplicating the credit card entries. To isolate the issue, you can run the Verify and Rebuild utilities. This will scan your company for data issues and resolves them right away. 

 

When you're ready, here's how to verify your data:

 

  1. Choose Window then Close All.
  2. Go to the File menu, then choose Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data.

If the program didn't detect any problems, then no further action is needed. If you find that your data has lost its integrity, that means there's damage to the file. In this case, you'll have to rebuild the data to rectify the issue. Here's how:

 

 

  1. Go to the File menu, then choose Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data.
  3. Follow the on-screen instruction to back up your company file.
  4. The Rebuild Data utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  5. When you get the Rebuild has completed message, click OK.

After that, try creating a dummy entry to check everything is working fine.
