I have 4 accounts with my bank - Personal, Business, Savings, and Other. I am very careful to use my debit cards correctly. The only account I have turned on inside of quickbooks is the business account. Only my business account should be interacting with quickbooks. However, when I view transactions, I see personal expenses. I checked my bank accounts and the transactions were paid for with my PERSONAL card, not my business card. Viewing my banks statement, I can clearly see these transactions came from my PERSONAL account. However, they are listed under transactions in quickbooks. How does this happen? How can I stop it from happening?
It's nice to have you here, robertjohnmayiii.
It could be that your personal account has been accidentally added into Quickbooks Self-Employed. You'll want to check if this might be the case by simply going to the Gear icon, selecting the personal bank account then toggle it off. This will no longer download the transactions.
If it’s not, we can exclude those that are listed transactions in Quickbooks. Here's how to Exclude a transaction:
Through a web browser:
Through the mobile app:
You can learn more details on excluding and deleting transactions in this article.
Please keep me updated how it works. I want to make sure this is taken care of.
Thank you for the reply.
The personal account is and has always been off. This has never happened before.
Any idea how it is accessing the personal account transactions when it shouldn't be?
Unfortunately, excluding the right transactions is going to be hard. For example, I shop at Walmart, target, Lowes, etc for both personal and business, often in the same trip just using a different card.
It's good to have you back here, robertjohnmayiii.

Was this ever resolved I’m having same issue.
Hello, Cotyevans1.
Let me add some additional steps to help you fix the transactions.
When you see transactions that are automatically categorized as a personal type, it might be that a bank rule was created. Let's check it out by following these steps:
For reference on adding bank rules, please check out this article: Create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If no rules are created, I recommend reaching out to our Customer Care Team. We can review your transactions and investigate what's causing the issue. Please take note that our support is available from M-F 6 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT.
Here are the steps:

Did you ever get this fixed? I am having the same exact issue and support cannot help me. I've been using Quickbooks for over a year and it just started happening out of the blue.
Did you get an answer? My QB recently developed the same issue.
Did you ever get this fixed? My QB is having the same issue
Thank you for posting here in the Community, @hrich260.
I'll share information about how QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) handles your bank transactions.
To ensure we're on the same page, I'd like to clarify if your personal bank account connects to QBSE. If so, please know that QuickBooks is a read-only software that depends on the information coming from your bank.
However, if the transactions are automatically categorized into personal, you'll want to review your created rules. The rules may be causing the issue. To do so, you can check out this article for more guidance: Create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
Come back to this post if you are referring to something else, @hrich260. I want to make sure this is taken care of.
You may also want to learn more about categorizing transactions in QBSE. This will help put your transactions on the correct line of your Schedule C.
Have a good one!
