LIMITED TIME 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months*
Buy nowMy bank was renamed last April. I started building my business last month, and noticed that invoices, payments, and transactions were not syncing between my bank and Quickbooks. I called my bank. This is a known issue with several other banking clients, and the bank has reached out several times to Quickbooks with no response.
Is there anyway to get someone at Quickbooks to review the issue and support it to be resolved?
Beside the amazing elements of Quickbooks for my small business, I chose this platform because of the convenient banking feature. For the $50/month for this service, I don't see the cost effectiveness of my having to download and upload reports to reconcile.
Any insights?
Hi there, @CollegeCoach. I want to ensure this will be taken care of. I'm here to provide some details to help resolve the syncing issue between your bank and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
To begin, could you tell me the name of the bank you're having a problem with? This information is helpful so I can further review if there are any ongoing issues about this.
In the meantime, let's verify that the information on your bank's website matches the details in your QBO account. As you mentioned it was renamed. If not, you just need to update it in the program. Refer to the steps below:
You can also perform a manual download to update your bank's connection to QBO so it gets the latest transactions. Here's how:
For reference, check out this article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, you can also manually upload your bank transactions to QBO via CSV file.
It's also recommended that you regularly perform the reconciliation process to ensure your account's balance matches your real-life bank account. To get started, check out this article: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.
Please keep me posted if you have any other banking concerns in QuickBooks. I'm just around the corner and ready to help. Have a good one and take care.
Utilize the trial version of MT Online to isolate the issue. It is designed to import into any bank or credit card in QuickBooks Online, so there is no specific setting needed. If the same error persists, there is an ongoing problem at your bank or connection.

The bank's original name was United Educators Credit Union and now it is called Expedition Credit Union.
I spoke to the bank's rep today, and they said it was a URL issue on Quickbook's end.
I have tried multiple times to connect Quickbooks to the specific bank account. I am able to connect Quickbooks to the bank; however, I have four accounts, so Quickbooks is unable to distinguish which account to select. In other words, there is no option to select which account to assign to Quickbooks.
