Welcome to the QuickBooks family, @doublehguns.

We want to help you with the issue when running the QuickBooks Contacts Sync app. However, we need more information about the QuickBooks version you're currently using in your system.

While waiting for the details, there are troubleshooting steps we can try to fix the issue. Let's start by checking your QuickBooks Web Connector and making sure it's up to date.

Here's how:

  1. From the Windows Start menu, search for web connector, then select Open.
  2. Look at the top bar of the Web Connector window to see the version number, it should be 2.3.0.36.
  3. If you need to update it, here’s how to download and install the latest Web Connector version.

The next step would be to check the digital signature validity of the QuickBooks Contact Sync app. You can follow these steps:

  1. Right-click the application extension, for example ApplicationName.exe, then select Properties.
  2. Go to the Digital Signatures tab.
  3. In the Signature List, highlight the Name of Signer then select Details.
  4. From the General tab, select View Certificate.
  5. Look at the Valid from dates. If the digital signature date expired, ask your IT to get the latest certification for the third-party application.
  6. Select OK to close the window.
