All of my linked Chase accounts started showing as [CLOSED] the other day. Other financial institutions are fine. Transactions are still importing correctly. What gives?

I have verified with my bank that the accounts are definitely not closed and everything is still functioning normally (apart from me freaking out thinking that somehow my account got compromised).

I'm here to assure you that everything is fine with your linked Chase accounts in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), @klayman

You're on the right track in verifying with your bank that the accounts aren't closed from the other day. Also, we receive the data on how your bank communicates with our system. Because of this, the transactions are still downloaded to QBSE correctly. Thus, your Chase accounts have not been compromised in the program.

Moreover, you can continue editing and categorizing your Chase transactions. Just go to the Transactions tab. Doing so will help you ensure they have correct categories and other bank info. To learn more about this process, check out this article: Categorize Transactions

Please know that I'm here anytime if you need anything else. Take care always. Stay healthy, @klayman

So is this problem going to be fixed any time soon?

Hello there, @klayman

I've checked my resources, and there's an ongoing investigation about the Chase bank accounts being marked as Closed. With this, we're unable to determine when this will be resolved. I assure you that our product engineers are actively working to have a permanent fix.

Please know that the Closed mark on your bank accounts doesn't affect their connection since the transactions are still importing to QBSE correctly. But I'd want to make sure you're in the loop about the investigation and its status via email. I recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They can add your company to the list of affected users. Please provide the INV-44567 to our representative as your reference. Please check out our support hours before getting in touch with them. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact us
  3. Enter Chase bank accounts marked as [CLOSED] in the Ask a question (or tell us what's wrong) box.
  4. Hit Continue
  5. Choose a way to connect with a live support agent.

As always, you can go to the Transactions tab. From there, edit and categorize your Chase transactions. It helps you ensure your bank info is accurate.

I'm just a comment away if you need anything else. Enjoy the rest of your day, @klayman
